Authors Expand Your Network

Authors, I will be the first to admit, I used to Love The Comfort Zone.  Can we all agree we like being comfortable? But being comfortable won’t sell books. There are times we must actually step out expand and network with others. In this blog, there are 4 quick tips that you can implement immediately. Here are 4 tips that can help you expand your network:

  1. Join Local Author Groups – There are numerous reading and writing groups. By visiting and/or joining a group, it allows you an opportunity to expand your circle and connect with other authors/writers closer to your home.
  2. Book Tour – We all have friends and family that live out of state. They should all know that you are an author and that you have a book. A book tour is a great way to visit them. Ask your family & friends for assistance, let me know you will be coming to their city/state for a book tour and would love their help.
  3. Author Showcase at your local library – Libraries love to showcase local authors. They usually host an author showcase a couple times a year. Connect with your library and let me know you are an author and you would love to be a part of their showcase, and you would love to have a book signing there.
  4. Live Videos – One of the best ways to connect with people globally is video. The most consumed content is Video. Do you really want to grab the audience attention? Live Video for authors is a great way for your audience to connect with you. Your readers are able to connect with you and get a sense of what type of person you are. They hear your voice, your tone and it makes the content of your book easier to consume. You Live Videos can lead to lifelong readers and fans of your books.

These are ways for you to expand your network, and to get out of your comfort zone. Let me know if you have taken advantage of the tips or if you will implement these tips.
